October Happenings

October was a busy month. Besides caring for a newborn and Halloween we had a lot going on around here. We attended the annual work even at a local pumpkin patch, co-hosted the 3rd annual Halloween party for some neighborhood friends, and held a baby shower for my cousin, Erin, who is expecting her first in a couple of weeks. Also, Max started taking gymnastics. Thank goodness he is the only kid in his class. He needs the undivided attention of his teacher. He seems to want to run all over the place whenever the mood strikes him.

First was the annual fall appreciation event for work at the Oxford pumpkin patch. They have a hayride, petting zoo, straw maze, and plenty of food. Plus we get to take home one pumpkin per person for FREE! Yeah! Our next door neighbors also attend and it has been fun for our kids to hang out the past two years.

The Halloween party was a good time this year. We had a great turnout. The party takes place in our basement & kitchen. Our next door neighbors co-host and are the one's who started the tradition. They plan a spooky ride through our yards with lots of kid-friendly scary stops along the way. The kids seem to really love it!

Evie is Hannah Montana and Max is Buzz Lightyear.

Craig is Indiana Jones and I am the girl from Temple of Doom.

Halloween was the next weekend. Max and Evie are champion trick-or-treaters. We ended up having to split up as Evie caught up with her friends while Max was moving slow (shocking - I know). It's always fun to watch all the nighborhood kids running around. They have so much fun! My mom comes to hand out candy every year and she also really enjoys watching all the kids.
