Easing into Summer

We’ve been quite busy over the last several weeks. Now that the weather has finally turned warm we tend to spend many hours out in the yard with the neighbors. I have to say that we couldn’t have a better group of neighbors than we do right now. We all have a great time hanging out in front yards or on porches watching the kids run around. In a couple of months, we’ll all be sitting around burping and rocking babies. My neighbors on either side are also pregnant. One is due in July and one due in August. All of us are having our third baby. We also have another neighbor down the street who just had her second a few weeks ago. They are all having boys, but we still don’t know the gender of our next addition. If we have a little girl, her daddy will have his work cut out for him in about 13 years. Here’s a picture of all four of us in our various stages of pregnant.

9 months, 7 months, 6 months, and 4.5 months

I had a follow-up ultrasound today. Everything looks great and there is no longer any concern over the amount of amniotic fluid around the baby. The baby was wiggly during the ultrasound and we even saw it open its mouth. The baby’s size is right in line with my expected due date and everything else with me checked out good.

The beautiful mystery baby!

Mother’s day was almost a wash given the crappy weather and the extremely long wait at lunch. However, Craig and the kids made me an adorable picture for mother’s day. I love it!

All three of my babies!

We took the kids to see the Backyardigan’s live show in Indy the weekend after mother’s day. The kids and I took a picture in the back yard right before we left the house. It was a beautiful day and the kids both loved the show. They occasionally sing the songs from the show together. It’s too cute.

What a gorgeous day!

Craig and I had our 6th wedding anniversary on the 18th of May. However, I left the house at 10 am that morning to spend a week at a leadership development conference called the Collegiate Management Institute. The week at Miami University in Ohio was a wonderful experience and I learned so much. I also made some great new friends in the people I met. About the time I got back was when the weather turned warm and has pretty much stayed that way. We kicked off the 1st weekend of hot weather with a new kiddie pool for the backyard and lots of time (probably too much) in the sun.

The neighbor boys had a cool-aid stand in front of their house. My two monster’s enjoyed a cool glass before we left to run errands one day.

Evie is always the diva!
